Picture this, you have a client that has left his address without notifying you of their new address. Typically the client will continue to pay for a small period to give them a head start and the BANG, no more payments the client is now a debtor and Gone No Address (GNA).
In most instances they are receiving the mail you send and sending it back GNA, they know you are going to put this account in the too hard basket because this has happened to them before. You do the basic steps of location but it turns up nothing.
What do you do now?
At Searchcom we believe that most people want to pay their bills they are just scared of the consequences so they hide. this provides an opportunity for those businesses that utilise the Searchcom services as more than likely you will not be the only Creditor that is looking for them.
Remember the cliche's "The early bird catches the worm" and "The squeaky wheel gets the oil", well in this case the Creditor that places demand first on the debtor that is GNA will get the lions share of the cash, whether it be via the courts or old fashioned face to face negotiation.
It is important to stamp your authority on the process and make the debtor aware that you are not just going to give up when they move without telling you, that there will be a consequence of not paying or advising you of the change in their circumstance. You need to re-educate the debtor and ensure that you are the first port of call if they cant meet their commitments or plan on moving.
Used in conjunction with our location services or as stand alone services our Field and Legal teams are happy to assist you with this escalation of the collection process, ensuring that a re-education process occurs with your debtors, changing their behaviour to pay you first.
Our other services include the ability to establish the viability of legal action, we can search for assets, interview relatives, inquire with employers and more, so you can be sure that if you are going to spend the money, you are going to get a return.

Problem Solving - The Too Hard Basket
Pass us your too hard basket and our internal Investigative Project Team will develop and tailor a solution for your business. We have undertaken a wide range of services for our clients that are not just the standard location of debtors. In unison with our field team we can recover goods that have gone missing, provide asset profiles and credit reports for individuals and companies, serve and demand payment from debtors and skipped company directors in Australasia and pick up security that may have been illegally taken to Australia.
In essence no problem is too big, or too small and our team at Searchcom will work on your problem, form a solution, initiate action and deliver results.
